Jane Westin Center
The Jane Westin Center is an Urgent Psychiatric Walk-In Center located in downtown San Diego that provides same-day, one-time behavioral health screening, assessment, psychiatric evaluation, medication services, crisis intervention and discharge planning for adults in urgent need of psychiatric medications.
The program connects clients with other community-based programs for ongoing psychiatric medication management services, behavioral health and social services.
The program is funded by the County of San Diego, HHSA, Behavioral Health Services.
Individuals 18 and older who meet criteria for Specialty Mental Health Services and the Target Population due to a serious mental illness, including those with co-occurring substance use conditions (COD).
Medi-Cal, Medi-Cal-eligible, Medicare or uninsured accepted. No one is denied services based on inability to pay.
Jane Westin Center serves the Central, North Central, East, and South regions of San Diego County.
How to Refer
Individuals may attend walk-in hours at Jane Westin Center Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.–6 p.m. Prospective clients will be screened and triaged according to urgency and need.
Programs and hospitals in the San Diego County BHS System of Care and Law Enforcement may refer directly to the program. Clients must not be open to another program in the San Diego County System of Care.
